Privacy Policy
This policy explains what personal data Prashno collects, why, and the choices you have. We collect only what we need to run the app.
1. What we collect
- Account details: your mobile number (if you sign in with a one-time code) or your name and email (if you sign in with Google).
- Practice activity: the questions you attempt, your answers, scores, bookmarks, and mock results. This powers your practice, analytics, and history.
- Payment records: if you buy a Pro pass, a record of the purchase (plan, amount, payment reference). Your card or bank details go directly to our payment processor; we never see or store them.
- Technical data: a limited amount of device and request information (such as IP address) used to keep you signed in and to protect the service from abuse.
2. Why we use it
- to sign you in and run your practice, mocks, and analytics;
- to process Pro payments and give you what you paid for;
- to keep the service secure and prevent spam, fraud, and abuse;
- to fix bugs and support you when you reach out.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for advertising.
3. Who we share it with
We share data with service providers who process it only to run Prashno: our hosting and database provider, our SMS and sign-in provider, our payment processor, and infrastructure services for security and rate-limiting. We may also disclose data where the law requires it.
4. How long we keep it, and deleting your account
We keep your data while your account is active. You can delete your account any time from your Profile, which permanently removes your profile, practice history, bookmarks, and mock results, and signs you out. Records we are legally required to keep (such as payment records) are retained for the period the law requires. If you can no longer sign in, see how to delete your account.
5. Your rights
Under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, you can:
- access the personal data we hold about you;
- ask us to correct or update it;
- delete your account and data, from your Profile or by contacting us;
- withdraw consent for phone sign-in by deleting your account.
To exercise any of these, or to raise a complaint, contact our Grievance Officer (below). You may also complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
6. Security
We protect your data with encryption in transit, access controls, row-level security, and rate limiting. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to keep your data safe and to respond quickly if something goes wrong.
7. Children
Prashno is intended for users 18 and older. If you are under 18, use it only with a parent or guardian’s consent.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the app changes. We will update the date above and, for material changes, let you know in the app.
9. Contact
